If you're interested in going deeper...to a look inside at the relationship between you and your stuff, these packages might be for you.
These services are offered to individuals and groups of two or more as a workshop.
A home or office that’s out of order cannot support the best of who we are or the highest of what we want to accomplish in the world. When we surround ourselves with an organized, nurturing and appealing space, our dreams are held and supported, too.
This vision-coaching package addresses the still, small voice inside us that may be crowded out by clutter. Finding and claiming your vision may be the catalyst that allows you to move on to tackle the decluttering process; it may be what emerges concurrently with your decluttering; or it may be what becomes possible once your decluttering is done.
Over a luxurious four sessions focused on your inner landscape, not your outer, we’ll awaken your vision, arouse your passion and design a plan of action that puts you in committed action toward making your dream a reality.
Vision-boards, guided imagery and provocative questions allow the vision to emerge, and actions toward manifesting the vision to be planned.
Accountability, support and structure pave the bridge from clear intention to desired results.
10 hours (4 sessions). Available one-on-one or as a workshop of two or more.
There’s our stuff...and there’s our RELATIONSHIP with stuff. We’re always in a conversation with our things. We sometimes ask our stuff to hold emotion, meaning, memories, decisions or aspects of ourselves we’re not ready to own or let go of.
This session will pump up the volume on the conversation with your stuff. With new awareness comes new choice.
Empowered shifts in how you care for your belongings, your relationship to spending, and letting go of what’s no longer needed are some possibilities that could open up for you.
Up to 3 hours (1 session). Available one-on-one or as a workshop of two or more.
My favorite definition of clutter, paraphrased from veteran organizer Barbara Hemphill, is “Clutter equals delayed decisions”.
Just what are those delayed decisions lurking in our piles and why do we delay decisions, anyway?
Sometimes it’s emotional ambivalence - we want two things at once and don’t know how to resolve the dilemma, i.e. “My favorite aunt gave me this painting, but I think it’s ugly. “I may be able to fit into these pants next year, but I can’t now.” “I’ll need this tupperware someday, but I can’t work with it piled on the table now.“
Delayed decisions might be putting off actions like paying bills, or clearing the dining room table because we don’t perceive there’s enough time or we haven’t created the time. We may need to take the step of assessing our focus, priorities and values. Or making decisions could just seem too final – closing off possibilities.
In this session, we’ll look at your decision-making style, introduce new decision-making tools and possibilities for delegation, and create a plan of action for your piles. Phone follow-up in seven days to assess & tweak your action plan.
4 hours (1 session). Available one-on-one or as a workshop of two or more.
"So many organizing books say that you need to understand how your “issues” are linked to your cluttered environment, yet they don’t . . . and can’t . . . walk you to your own indispensible realizations. With my best efforts, I spent years trying to figure it out on my own, becoming only more frustrated and resigned as I continued to fail to create an enjoyable and functional home environment. I now know that was unnecessary. In a few short hours, Elizabeth helped me untangle the primary mental blocks preventing any real changes. Not only was I able to get rid of many bags of unnecessary clutter during our consultation, but I also gained a new perception that continues to help me towards a new, harmonious space. She has a surprisingly impressive store of knowledge, and a level of insight and compassion that is very effective. If you’re just sick of it, try a consultation with Elizabeth. You don’t have to let more weeks, months, or years go by, unnecessarily being unhappy in your space." - Felicia, Lawyer, NJ
