Coaching

What are some reasons you might choose to work with a coach:

    * You have an opportunity to make a change, or grow which is exciting, daunting or both.

    * You have a goal but are finding there is something you need in order to move forward.

 * You're a writer, performer, or artist yearning for more time for your creativity.

* You're seeking to make a living doing what you love.

* You've tried to get organized on your own, and have found it daunting.

* You're content with where you are in your career, relationships or life, but have an inkling there's something bigger or better you could reach.

 * You're looking for more balance between work and personal life.

* You're not sure you've identified what your core values and strengths are and how to live from them.

What is coaching?

Coaching is a partnership that is a creative, thought-provoking process used to support personal growth and achievement of goals. It focuses on where you are now and what you’re willing to do to get to the future of your vision. A coaching session allows space and time to imagine you at your best, aiming for your desired success. We co-design what actions might lead you toward your desired outcome and the subsequent sessions support discovery of how those actions were effective. Coaching sessions allow you to try, fail or succeed and learn from the process. In it, you deepen your commitment to your vision and strengthen your skills in obtaining your desired outcome.

The model of coaching I use recognizes the client as naturally resourceful, creative, and whole. As coach, I ask questions and offer perspective that allows you to make discoveries and move forward with what matters most. In coaching, there's a commitment to discerning and deepening the understanding of what's needed and most valuable to you so those needs and values can be supported no matter what else might be pulling you in any given week.

Your role is to supply the agenda based on personally meaningful goals and to utilize assessment and forms to enhance self-awareness and to articulate a vision of personal success. Coaching allows you to assume full responsibility for personal decisions and actions, and in doing so, get the most out of coaching.

Coaching is not therapy:

Therapy aims at healing the emotional/psychological pain of the past and a trained licensed therapist is needed to attend to this process.

Time commitment:

Coaching is progressive. It's an action/evaluation process. At the end of each session we will have an opportunity define an action or course of action that can be tried during the week between phone sessions. Willingness to take actions and evaluate the results is a part of the coaching process. This evaluation is most useful over a series of sessions, which is why a minimum of six sessions is requested.

The coaching contract:

Phone coaching sessions are usually between 30-45 minutes, three times a month with additional email support.

We would schedule three sessions per month in advance and payment is due per month before the first session of the month. Times could be rescheduled if need be once we started within 24 hours of appointment. Certain coaching forms, including a coaching intake form, may be utilized to help facilitate the coaching process for best results.

 Email for more information.

I’m happy to speak with you in person to answer any questions, explore possible coaching topics, or to determine if a coaching alliance with me would be beneficial to you.
